Narragansett

Beginning in 1890, Narragansett Beer was considered THE beer of New England until a buyout and a brewery move in the ’70s nearly killed the brand. In 2015, Steven Grasse joined a group of New England investors and purchased back the rights to the Narragansett name, beginning an unprecedented re-branding and revival process. Going from dusty relic to Brooklyn darling, this New England heritage brand has become the region’s fastest growing beer. In 2021, Narragansett opened a new brewery on the Providence waterfront, fulfilling a lifelong dream of reopening their doors in the state where it all began. Only one year from its opening, they’ve increased their production to a 40k barrel run rate and welcomed more than 50k visitors, which earned them spot #32 on the Brewer’s Association List of Top 50 American Breweries out of 10K breweries.
