Piedmont Distillers came to QCM in need of strategic positioning and packaging for a new offshoot of their flagship Midnight Moon brand, Moonshakes. The moonshine category is a far removal from the premium categories QCM is used to working in, but we embraced the challenge and are pleased with the result. We tapped into the nostalgic appeal of the milkshake by creating a brand world reminiscent of 50’s Americana diner culture. The creative was an enormous success – in fact Piedmont had to expand their production capabilities to fulfill presale demands, and requested that we redesign the Midnight Moon flagship brand with this new identity.
