Forbes features Hendrick’s Valentine’s Day Campaign

Looking for something totally unexpected and quirky for your gin-loving Valentine? Well, Hendrick’s just might have the answer.
The Scottish gin that’s known for its unusual activations and a Cabinet of Curiosities (where a new limited-edition gin is revealed each year) has just dropped a line of “Gintimates,” the world’s first and only collection of bottle-positive lingerie line.
“Hendrick’s has a reputation for putting our own peculiar twist on consumer culture and we’re often inspired by odd traditions of the romantic eras of our past,” says Michael Giardina, Vice President of Marketing at Hendrick’s Gin. “As we approached Valentine’s Day, the world of undergarments was a natural place to explore. Connecting over cocktails is an integral part of the Valentine’s Day holiday, so we sought out to create the world’s first and only collection of cocktail intimates to elevate your cocktailing.”
Gintimates marks Hendrick’s first official foray into the fashion space — an area Giardina says the brand has wanted to explore for some time, but didn’t ever quite land on the right moment or right partner until fashion designer Wiederhoeft came along to enhance the “ooh la la” factor of cocktail necessities.
“Like Hendrick’s, Wiederhoeft leans into the elegance and whimsy of opulent historical eras, while also pushing the boundaries of their craft, so we knew they were the right partner to bring this eccentric idea to life,” says Giardina.
Curated specifically to be the perfect match for all your Valentine’s Day celebrations, the Wiederhoeft-designed capsule collection includes three alluring and delicately handmade pieces:
  • Bottle Corset: A sheer and luxurious number, this piece is meant to savor the seductive beauty of the voluptuous Hendrick’s bottle that embellishes your bar cart
  • Pinky Garter: Aimed to maintain sophistication as you toast to any manner of delights, this piece will accentuate your daintiest finger and remind you to keep your pinky up
  • Cocktail Garnish Chain & Pasty: An elegant rose not for your vase, but for your most cherished martini glass. Pro tip – this accessory is particularly enticing alongside a cucumber garnish
In partnering with Wiederhoeft, a design house creating modern nostalgia, this collaboration aims to offer the elegance and whimsy of Victorian underthings for the objects of cocktail culture that have long lacked access to lingerie.
The Gintimates collection is sure to spice up your Valentine’s cocktails – taking them from blah to ooh la la this Valentine’s Day.
If you’re looking for a cocktail perfect for the occasion, Hendrick’s created the COSMOPOLIGIN cocktail, a twist on the classic pink drink that’s seeing a resurgence in popularity — and it just so happens that the Hendrick’s Cocktail Garnish Chain is the perfect accessory to complement the cocktail.
