Number 83: Steven Grasse, Chief Executive of Gyro Worldwide.

The Nitty Gritty: The advertising industry predicted Grasse's demise from the start. Especially after his agency scared away client with its Zipperhead serial killer ads. Instead, the tiny firm, in its 10th year, has become a global presence. Success hasn't dulled Gyro's edge, as it proved with its ad for the video game Kingpin, featuring the tag line, "you're gonna die." But the launch coincided with Columbine, afterwards, a Kingpin ad was displayed on the Senate floor. Grasse is making political inroads with Shift, his organization wooing young Republicans to the polls.
