Eagles of Death Metal
We believe brands can learn a lot from bands. That's because bands have been doing the whole "viral thing" forever.
Case in point, Eagles of Death Metal (Josh from Queens of the Stone Age's side project) contacted Quaker City Mercantile to help virally launch their new album "Death By Sexy."
We created a series of underground viral videos that ran in tandem with the "official" slick traditional music videos commissioned by their record label. The Quaker City Mercantile videos were launched on websites such as YouTube and Spike.com and quickly achieved cult status. The first video made up entirely of clips from our cult series Bikini Bandits received over 300,000 views on these two websites alone.
The band then participated in our Sailor Jerry Music Program, which receives over 150,000 visits per month. Added Bonus: The band wore our Sailor Jerry gear on "The Late Show" with David Letterman—thanks guys! That's exactly the way it supposed to work out.
