Just as we created an authentic and very profitable rum in conjunction with our Sailor Jerry lifestyle brand, Quaker City Mercantile has developed a new spirit under our very own Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction brand. Named ROOT, the 80-proof liquor is completely in line with the values of the Art in the Age brand name, which seeks to restore meaning and authenticity to the arts, skilled crafts and artisan goods. ROOT is indeed a truly authentic experience.

The 100% certified organic, 80 proof spirit is based on the potent Root Teas that Native Americans and colonists used to make from birch bark and other herbs and botanicals during the 1700s. It is incomparable to anything on the market today, and is the first true American Liqueur in nearly 100 years since the
Volstead Act defined Prohibition in 1919. Distilled in limited batches, ROOT signifies a return to creativity and quality in American spirits production.

With ROOT, Quaker City Mercantile again ignored the typical boundaries between producers of consumer products and creators of intellectual content; the liquor was conceived, developed, and produced entirely in-house. From the spirits' branding and authenticity, to the sourcing of artisan distilleries, to its unique
bottle shape and packaging design, ROOT is the sole creation of Quaker City Mercantile.
