We only ever did one project for Coke and it was a long time ago, but we've included it here because it's a good story and it's about Spike Jonze.

On a whim, we sent a monster package of Quaker City Mercantile stuff to Sergio Zyman, who was then the head of Coke's worldwide marketing division. To our surprise, he responded and brought us down to Atlanta.

That meeting went well, and suddenly we were on a plane to LA to meet uber- agent Mike Ovitz at CAA. We were paid what, at the time, seemed like ungodly amounts of money to write spots for Coke's "Always" campaign. And we actually got one through. We hired a then unknown director to shoot it for us, a one Mr.
Spike Jonze.

In fact the first commercial Spike ever did was for Quaker City Mercantile a year earlier. It was for Andrew Shue's (Melrose Place) charity called Do Something. So, whatever happened to Spike Jonze anyway?
